Sport Relief 2018 - Donate & practise the Dancethon here!
At Tiptoe School, we are really excited to be taking part in Sport relief 2018. As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise money and change lives.
On Tuesday 20th March we will be running two events. We will be challenging the children to run an amazing 5k in a day and to also take part in a fabulous Danceathon. On this day your child can come to school in their PE kit, which can include their Tiptoe Marathon T-shirt.
5k in a day
During the morning children will run in their classes, and record how many laps of the field they do. The children will also be encouraged to run at lunchtime. At 3pm you are invited to come and run with your children. If you do plan on running with your child/ren on this day please indicate below and return the slip to the office as soon as possible so that we can make the necessary safety arrangements. On the day families will sign in at the office then wait in the hall for their children to join them, before heading out ot the field to run. The number of laps that you run will be recorded by you on the slip of paper that your child has with them. At 3:25pm the children will go back into their classes ready to be dismissed as normal on the front playground. During this time the Friends of Tiptoe will be selling some delicious refreshments.
Whole School Danceathon
Our Danceathon will take place during the school day and will be filmed and published on the website when possible. We will be dancing a set choreography to ‘This is me’ from The Greatest Showman.
Your child might like to rehearse at home - please click on this link to access the video: https://vimeo.com/258089199
To raise money we have set up a giving page for you to sponsor your child/ren’s participation. You will find this page at https://my.sportrelief.com/sponsor/tiptoeprimaryschool8689667
There will also be collection buckets on the day for donations.
We hope that this will be a really positive event for the school, and the charity, and thank you for your support in achieving this.
