Topic

The topic this half term is WWII so there is a lot of research you can carry out at home.

You might like to look at the following sites:

BBC Class Clips

There are loads of archive footage to look at so it's really interesting.

Another is the schoolrun which is designed to give children information to use with homework:

Have a look!

Class 4, you are living through an important moment in history! During this pandemic, you are all witnesses to a historic event that hopefully will not be seen again for a very long time.  Because of this, it is important to create primary sources that people can look back on in the future. Primary sources are created by witnesses to an event (like the coronavirus pandemic) and may include diaries, letters, interviews, photographs and newspaper articles.  These will help people of the future to understand what it was like when all the schools closed and people had to practice social isolation.  So, your challenge is to complete this Time Capsule booklet while you are at home and you will have this to look back on when you are older.  You can include photos, diary entries, newspaper cuttings and any other memories that you think are important.  If you are happy to share these when we get back to school we would love to see them but you might just want to keep it as a personal record for yourself - that's fine too!
